Join us for a craft activity in which you can decorate your own paper butterfly and learn a simple mechanism to make its wings flap. After the session, why not take your butterfly on our children's trail or quiz to learn more about these amazing insects? Sessions are free, no booking required; they run on drop-in basis from 11 am to 12 pm and 2 to 3 pm. Children must be accompanied by adults at all times; younger children may require more support from their adults.

Around the edge of the park there is a small woodland area that is dominated by Alder trees, which thrive in waterlogged areas.
