An activity with TCV Leicester Volunteers
Activity date: Wednesday 1st July 2026
Start time: 10:15
Finish time: 14:00
We will be carrying out some pre-season grassland management work, uprooting and removing ragwort and thistle from the designated grassland parcels in readiness for the annual hay cut starting in late July. We are well looked after on this Anglian Water site, a good opportunity to enjoy the beautiful Rutland countryside.
There will be a 9.30am minibus pick up for volunteers from the Victoria Park Car Park, Granville Rd LE1 7RY. Volunteers wait in the area close to the stone lodge buildings just up from the toilet block. Please reserve your seat on the minibus beforehand by contacting the project lead on either c.forty@tcv.org.uk or 07764 655482 thank you. Alternatively please meet with us at our Linwood Workshops office/toolstore, Unit 5, Linwood Lane LE2 6QJ for 9am if this easier. Free safe parking is available at this site.
