Learn to ID local bumblebees at Railway fields Whether you are an expert or complete beginner this will be a chance to get outdoors and explore the wildlife on your doorstep. What to expect: - A short talk on local butterfly species ID topic each week. - A guided transect survey of the site. -The data collected will help us develop the Paddock into a Local Nature Reserve and increase biodiversity. Pre-booking is essential, book now to confirm a place. Please be aware Eventbrite booking closes one day before each surveying event at 5pm. Railway Fields is one of three Local Nature Reserves in Haringey, North London. It is under one hectare of land and its main use is as as education centre for school children. There is an area of woodland, a pond and marsh area, a meadow and an education hut.

More info: You will be issued with a field recording sheet, species guide sheets, a clipboard and a pencil. If you own further ID guides/books, you are welcome to bring them along. Individual surveys will run outdoors for about an hour, please be sure to check the weather/temperature and dress accordingly.
