Activity description

Discover minibeasts and reptiles from all over the world! Learn about their fascinating adaptations and behaviours in an interactive session delivered by experts in the field. Take the opportunity to handle them and see how they are different to animals in the UK. Three free one-hour sessions starting at 10am, 11:30am, and 2pm in our classroom (ask at the gatehouse for directions). Only 12 spaces are available each session (plus accompanying adults). Please arrive on time as doors will close after the start of each session to keep a calm, quiet environment for the animals. To secure your slot, book in advance by emailing gpep@tcv.org.uk with the number of children, their ages (recommended 4+) , and how many adults will be accompanying them. You can take your chance on the day too – enquire at the office and, if there are spaces left, we’ll add you to the list (on a first-come, first-served basis). Stick around in the park and complete the quiz or the younger children’s trail to learn even more about minibeasts.

What3words: ---cover.drain.prom br>Greenwich Peninsula Ecology Park is made up of four acres of freshwater habitat, made up of two lakes surrounded by marshland that supports a wide range of bird and insect species. Around the edge of the park there is a small woodland area that is dominated by Alder trees, which thrive in waterlogged areas.
