Leyton Jubilee Park Green Gym

An activity with Leyton Jubilee Park Green Gym

Activity date: Thursday 24th September 2026

Start time: 10:45
Finish time: 14:00

Activity description

Leyton Jubilee Park is Waltham Forest’s largest park, created atop an old landfill site dating back to the 19th century. Sitting in the Lea catchment, Dagenham Brook runs through the park, offering a riparian connection to the nearby Hackney Marshes. Our work in the park largely surrounds the maintenance of our recently planted woodland, which is still in the early stages of its life, work including tree planting, weeding and mulching. Other work will rejuvenate pathways and provide care for our newly created flower beds. Join us in a park with an exciting range of habitats and species!

Meeting place

In Leyton Jubilee Park the sessions run from the Compound (What3Words location is: ///baked.gown.buzz). You can find it by walking along Marsh Lane (the wide road cutting through the middle of the park) and then near the end there is a sharp left turn onto a gravel path up to the compound. It is labelled on google maps as ‘Manor Gardening Society’.
