Pond Close is an evolving wetland habitat with a boundary of mixed species trees and hedges, the site has a rich species diversity. A tranquil village location benefiting nature and human/community enjoyment and involvement. Our project will focus on removing and replacing the existing rotten gravel boards along the bottom stone path. We will replace with new timber edging boards and make good the path profile. There will also be some selective vegetation to cut back and clear.
We will provide a minibus pick up at 9.30am for volunteers from the Victoria Park car park, Granville Rd LE1 7PA. Please wait close to the Leicester City Council stone lodge buildings just up from the toilet block.
