Activity description

This is a one day session which runs on Monday 29th October 2026 from 10.00am to 4.00pm.

This session is designed for anyone who would like to come and see what type of things we do at Hollybush, see if learning is for them, get out more and meet some new people, or just have fun being creative.
This session will teach you practical woodwork skills that you can use in everyday life - no experience needed! Whether you're a complete beginner or just want to refresh your skills, you'll get to safely use common hand tools and make a simple simple project.

This course is FREE if you are in receipt of certain income related benefits; work full-time (37hrs a week) and earn below £26,800 or work part-time and earn below £13.85 per hour; It is £7.50 for those in receipt of state pension. Otherwise contact us for course fees. Evidence of identity and benefits, pension, or salary must be provided before the course starts.

Please note that this is a very hands-on, physical course that requires a level of strength and dexterity, and you will be using sharp hand tools. If you have a disability or problem with mobility, then please contact us to discuss how we can help you before you sign up to the course.
