Activity description

We will be working within Ham Common Woods completing vegetation management - tasks yet to be confirmed.

Meeting place

We meet at St. Andrew's Church on Church Road at 10am. Look for the TCV van. What3words meeting point: ///heads.museum.actor There is a small amount of free parking available outside the church, or along Garthside or The Shires for those wanting to drive.

Site description

Ham Common Woods is a Site of Metropolitan Importance for Nature Conservation. The woods are separated into three sections by roads (Ham Gate Avenue & Church Road) with each section supporting a slightly different habitat. The main central section contains dry acid grassland, a rare and endangered habitat. The woods also support four ponds and Latchmere Brook.

We provide hot drinks, so please bring your own mug (and spoon). Booking on Eventbrite is required. Please DO NOT attend our sessions if you have tested positive for Covid-19 in the past 5 days.
