An activity with Richmond Weekday Projects
Activity date: Thursday 9th May 2024
Start time: 10:00
Finish time: 16:00
We will be assisting the shire horses from Operation Centaur by raking up the arisings from the spring hay cut. Raking is important in meadow management as it maintains low soil fertility, which reduces competitive grass growth.
We meet at the sports changing rooms in Hatherop Park at 10:00 OR pick up at 9:45am at ETNA community Centre in East Twickenham. Please text Judith on 07483 050759 if you would like a lift.
Hatherop Park, 170 Broad Ln, Hampton TW12 3BP, TW12 3NR
A green flag park, was formerly a much neglected recreation ground. It retains it's playing fields but now has a childrens play area, small pond, and large area of land managed along wild life sympathetic lines.
