Developing school's wildlife area into a Forest Schools resource

Activity description

We will be selectively cutting and clearing vegetation encroachment together with some self set small trees and low lateral branch encroachment. The aim of our work is to create a safe natural wildlife Forest Schools type resource for the local schoolchildren.

Meeting place

There will be a 9.30am minibus pick up for volunteers from the Victoria Park Car Park, Granville Rd LE1 7RY. Volunteers generally wait in the area close to the city council's stone lodge buildings just up from the toilet block at the London Rd entrance to the car park. Alternatively please meet with us at our office for 9am if this is easier. There is free safe parking in the Evington Park Car Park. Further info

Those wishing to make their own way for this project, we will aim to start at 10am or just after. The school will be closed for half-term, there will be adequate facilities on site for safe parking.
