Sessional Project Officer

Salary: £91.88 per day

Hours: 35 per week (full time)

About the role

The team deliver practical environmental education sessions and play sessions 3-4 days each week, engaging children and young people in nature connection, environmental education and more!

We are seeking a highly organised, adaptable, motivated and committed person to join the team for this important post. This post holder will work alongside other staff on the delivery of a variety of education and play projects. There may also be opportunities to work with the Skelton Grange Conservation and Wellbeing Teams.

This role is a field-based position. Key responsibilities of this post include:
Working alongside other staff members to ensure efficient and professional delivery of learning and play project.

The successful applicant will:
- Have experience working with children and young people, in an outdoor setting or similar.
- Be able to engage people of a range of ages and abilities, including children in outdoor learning tasks .
- An ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team.
- Personal qualities of resourcefulness and flexibility.

Training and certification in First aid, Forest Schools or education delivery is advantageous although not a necessity.

Holiday entitlement for any work undertaken will be calculated quarterly and paid to you.

The ability to drive our small van to outreach events is preferred but not essential. For insurance this means you must meet the TCV driving requirements. A standard full UK Driving Licence held for at least a year would be required.

Please note the Sessional Worker role would require your occasional services on a casual, fixed-term basis. Due to the nature of our business, and this role, we are unable to anticipate exactly how many days per week/month we will require your services.
To fulfil the role, you must be resident in the UK and have the right to work in the UK.

A full, clean or near clean UK driving licence is required for this post, which has been held for a minimum of one year.
