    Join us every FIRST and THIRD Wednesday of the month at our Chatham Place Green Gym in Northfield. We are a friendly and welcoming group who love to grow our own food in a relaxed environment, whilst enjoying our time in the communal garden, and making new friends. No previous experience is required and all tools are provided. Chatham Place and the communal garden is fully accessible, and has on site accessible toilets. There is also space for indoor activities, which we use during bad weather to ensure we can all enjoy gardening and growing our own food all year round!

    Activity description

    Do you enjoy getting outdoors whatever the weather and want to make a difference at your local green space? Then come along to one of our Practical Conservation Volunteer sessions that takes place every Wednesday of the month across our 8 Community Woodland. This volunteer session will undertake a range of habitat management and access improvements task for people and nature across all the community woodlands that TCV South Yorkshire team manage. No experience needed, just a willingness to have a go. Participants benefit from learning new skills, having a positive impact on there local green space and meeting new people.     Practical Conservation Projects

    Activity description

    We run practical conservation tasks in various locations in Hull and the surrounding area from 9am-4pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays each week. Transport provided from TCV Humber field office. No experience necessary. The work varies from season to season. In winter you could be tree planting, hedge laying, or creating and maintaining ponds and wetlands; whilst in summer you could be constructing wildlife areas in schools, creating footpaths, making hay, or undertaking invasive species control. If you want to get involved in practical work outdoors, learn new skills (or share old ones!) and work with a fun and friendly group then come and join in.

    The Forth Valley Biodiversity Action Team undertake various practical conservation tasks and improve green spaces across Falkirk and Stirling. Activities include woodland management, pond clearance, maintaining paths and sowing wildflower seeds. We are dedicated to enhancing biodiversity through a range of activities from woodland management, creating habitats, eradicating invasive species, sowing wildflower seeds and community garden work. Volunteering is a great way to gain new skills and an opportunity to meet new people from a range of backgrounds. Come and join us to help care for the environment, meet new people and spend some time in the great outdoors!
