Pop in any time from Saturday 14 to Sunday 22 February (excluding Monday and Tuesday, when the park is closed to the public), between 10:30am and 3:30pm, and enjoy our selfâled trails for children and adults. Discover fascinating facts about minibeasts and birds as you explore the park at your leisure. Younger children can complete a personalised passport while searching for toy minibeasts on our childrenâs trail and learning interesting facts along the way. Older children and adults â can you crack a series of puzzles and put the clues together to solve the mystery of the lost bird? Test your detective skills in this special selfâled trail. Join our Saturday conservation workdays at the Ecology Park and help the wardens carry out vital management work in the park's different habitats - marsh, meadow, lakes, ponds, shingle beach and woodland. Places are limited to 10 on a Saturday, so you will need to book in advance by emailing gpep@tcv.org.uk The first time you volunteer, we will ask you to fill out a TCV Volunteer Welfare Form (or we can email this to you in advance if you prefer). You will be working as part of a volunteer team with the park wardens, carrying out tasks such as pond clearing, reed cutting, meadow cutting, coppicing (cutting smaller tree stems), digging and weeding.
