Join our new community food growing project! Learn new skills, meet new people, grow your own food! All tools and instruction will be provided and no previous experience is required to take part. Our first session will be on Tuesday 13th February 2024 and sessions will then run every Tuesday throughout the year from 10.45am until 1.30pm. Please do wear suitable outdoor clothing and sturdy enclosed footwear. Do bring your own gardening gloves if you have some. Installing a Biodiversity Garden in Vauxhall Pleasure Gardens SE11 5HL

Exciting new development for the Park in 2024! We will be working with LB Lambeth and the Friends of Vauxhall Pleasure Gardens to install a biodiversity garden in an underused corner of the park. Firstly we will be installing recycled plastic revetment to protect existing structures, then we will be bringing in many tons of topsoil to create a series of mounded, flowing planting beds throughout the garden. We will be mulching the beds areas and then installing landscape edging around them. For the final part of our Phase 1 works we will be installing new topsoil and turf throughout the central lawn area of the garden, and planting a diverse range of flowering plants and shrubs in the beds to attract wildlife.
