An activity with Richmond Weekday Projects
Activity date: Thursday 1st May 2025
Start time: 10:00
Finish time: 16:00
We will be working in collaboration with the horses from Oakwood Clydesdales to cut and rake the meadows in Crane Park. We will be starting the day in the Fullwell Park meadow, before moving on to the Mill Road meadow down the river. The meadows are managed for biodiversity by LBRuT. The hay cut and rake is an important step in meadow management as it helps to maintain low soil fertility, suppresses vigorous grass growth, and helps spread wildflowers.
We will meet at the back of the Hospital Bridge Meadow, on the intersection of Hospital Bridge Road and the A316, at 10am. Look out for the TCV van which will be parked under the trees at the back of the meadow. What3words meeting point:///famed.canny.video
