An activity with Network Rail
Activity date: Tuesday 21st May 2024
Start time: 9:30
Finish time: 16:30
This huge site is a SSSI and of value for its particular ecology. It needs careful management to stop it covering over in scrub and bramble, and to encourage the correct conditions for wildflowers and grasses. As part of this we will be strimming off the dense, tough grass cover to lower soil nutrients and allow the slower growing grasses and plants to flourish.
There are very limited seats available on our minibus - please contact the office to book or to go onto the waiting list. If the minibus is full and you are able to make your own way to site, check with us for the meeting spot on the day.
