At Cammo Estate
Cammo Estate LNR Woodland Management Support practical conservation and habitat restoration at Cammo Estate Local Nature Reserve through a range of woodland and hedgerow management activities. Tasks may include hazel coppicing to enhance woodland structure, meadow management to promote wildflower diversity, rhododendron removal to control invasive species, and native tree planting. Volunteers will also help construct dead hedges to protect young trees from browsing damage, undertake hedgerow management, and contribute to PTES Healthy Hedgerow Surveys to monitor and improve the condition of this important habitat.

The Forth Valley Biodiversity Action Team undertake various practical conservation tasks and improve green spaces across Falkirk and Stirling. Activities include woodland management, pond clearance, maintaining paths and sowing wildflower seeds. We are dedicated to enhancing biodiversity through a range of activities from woodland management, creating habitats, eradicating invasive species, sowing wildflower seeds and community garden work. Volunteering is a great way to gain new skills and an opportunity to meet new people from a range of backgrounds. Come and join us to help care for the environment, meet new people and spend some time in the great outdoors!

This site is a rare and important grassland habitat so we're helping to manage it for wildlife by keeping nutrient levels low. Strimming the grass off and raking it away from the grassland means nettles and thistles are less likely to thrive, giving more chance for wildflowers to do well.

With Sale Water Park Habitat Improvement
At Sale Water Park
As part of a project improving the walkways along the river Mersey, we will be improving habitats at Sale water Park. You do not need any prior experience. Skills you'll learn: -Hedge laying -Coppicing -Woodland management -Tree felling (small <200mm) -Fence Installation Sessions will run 10am - 2pm, but there is no obligation to stay for the whole day.
