We run practical conservation tasks in various locations in Hull and the surrounding area from 9am-4pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays each week. Transport provided from TCV Humber field office. No experience necessary. The work varies from season to season. In winter you could be tree planting, hedge laying, or creating and maintaining ponds and wetlands; whilst in summer you could be constructing wildlife areas in schools, creating footpaths, making hay, or undertaking invasive species control. If you want to get involved in practical work outdoors, learn new skills (or share old ones!) and work with a fun and friendly group then come and join in.

With ACLS - Creative Woodwork 2024-25

This is a five week course which runs every Wednesday from 18th September to 16th October 2024 from 10.00am to 4.00pm <br>It is well documented that taking part in creative activities and learning new skills can support positive mental health and wellbeing. <br>The practical and creative techniques and skills learnt on this course will support your positive mental health and wellbeing. Learn how to safely work with wood and design, hand build, and decorate a useful bench for yourself or others. <br> <br>This course is FREE if you are in receipt of certain income related benefits; work full-time (37hrs a week) and earn below £25,000 or work part-time and earn below £13.05 per hour; It is £37.50 for those in receipt of state pension. Otherwise contact us for course fees. With Conservation Volunteer Team - Glasgow

We are working to improve parks and greenspaces around Glasgow. Examples of work to be carried out include: ââ¬Â¢ Sowing wildflower meadows ââ¬Â¢ Creating community gardens ââ¬Â¢ Managing woodlands ââ¬Â¢ Building paths ââ¬Â¢ Cleaning ponds ââ¬Â¢ And much more! Volunteering is a great way to gain new skills and experience the different greenspaces around Glasgow. It also provides an opportunity to meet new people from a range of backgrounds. These groups will run every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 10- 3. Volunteers can sign up for one or all the days. Volunteers must be over 16.
