With Biodiversity Action Team (South London)
At Vauxhall Pleasure Gardens
We return to the new Biodiversity Garden in the park now that the perimeter fencing has been installed, to complete the installtion of the self bound aggregate pathway in the western corner of the garden, and to relandscape the garden bed and fencing outside the perimeter fencing to make way for the new access point. We will also be clearing any unwanted vegetation from the garden, and mowing / strimming as needed.

With Greenwich Peninsula Ecology Park Conservation Volunteers
At Greenwich Peninsula Ecology Park
Join our regular Wednesday conservation workdays at the Ecology Park and help the wardens carry out vital management work in the parkâs different habitats â marsh, meadow, lakes, ponds, shingle beach and woodland. You can just turn up on a Wednesday and donât need to book ahead but the first time you volunteer, we will ask you to fill out a TCV Volunteer Welfare Form (or we can email this to you in advance if you prefer). You will be working as part of a volunteer team with the park wardens, carrying out tasks such as pond clearing, reed cutting, meadow cutting, coppicing (cutting smaller tree stems), digging and weeding.

Join us every Wednesday morning at out Queen Elizabeth Community Gardens based in the grounds of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. We are a friendly and welcoming group who love to grow our food, and help provide a space where our local wildlife can thrive. We have a variety of different species on site, including a large variety of butterflies in the spring and summer and different birds from woodpeckers to blue tits. No previous experience is required and all tools are provided.

With TCV Leicester Volunteers
At Cosby Stream
Our annual visit to this attractive Leicestershire village site. Volunteers will be working to selectively remove the end of season wetland bank vegetation growth along a section of Cosby brook following along the Main Street and into 'The Nook'. There will be some uprooting of excess growth combined with a general cut back and removal of material. All material removed from the stream will be stacked in a designated area and left for a few days before collection and removal from site by the local council.
