Join us every FIRST and THIRD Wednesday of the month at our Chatham Place Green Gym in Northfield. We are a friendly and welcoming group who love to grow our own food in a relaxed environment, whilst enjoying our time in the communal garden, and making new friends. No previous experience is required and all tools are provided. Chatham Place and the communal garden is fully accessible, and has on site accessible toilets. There is also space for indoor activities, which we use during bad weather to ensure we can all enjoy gardening and growing our own food all year round!

We will be carrying out some pre-season grassland preparation work, removing ragwort and thistle in readiness for the annual hay cut starting in August. This is a rewarding project for volunteers who are well looked after on this Anglian Water site, a good opportunity to enjoy the beautiful Rutland countryside.

At TCV Humber Field Office
We run practical conservation tasks in various locations in Hull and the surrounding area from 9am-4pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays each week. Transport provided from TCV Humber field office. No experience necessary. The work varies from season to season. In winter you could be tree planting, hedge laying, or creating and maintaining ponds and wetlands; whilst in summer you could be constructing wildlife areas in schools, creating footpaths, making hay, or undertaking invasive species control. If you want to get involved in practical work outdoors, learn new skills (or share old ones!) and work with a fun and friendly group then come and join in.

With Hollybush Food Growing Green Gym
At Hollybush Conservation Centre
This session looks after the food growing areas at Hollybush Conservation Centre in Kirkstall, Leeds. The group helps to look after the accessible community Hub at Hollybush. The sessions have a range of activities each week, and aim to offer an opportunity for everyone to get involved. There is no growing experience needed, with group leaders supporting the group in a variety of organic growing techniques using raised beds, ground level beds, orchards and in a paved polytunnel. If you have any questions about the accessibility of the session, please get in touch. Work is carried out in small groups across the site, with the session planned to accommodate access needs.

At Hollybush Conservation Centre
This group meets every Wednesday afternoon to take carer of the Wildlife gardens and conservation areas in the grounds of Hollybush Conservation Centre, to increase the biodiversity of the site. A variety of management techniques used including growing plants from seed & propagation, and planting and providing homes for wildlife. Work takes place in small groups across the site, with work areas accessible by wheelchair available. If you have any questions about the accessibility of the session, please get in touch.

Join The Conservation Volunteers (TCV) to enhance the biodiversity of Glasgowâs many fantastic parks and greenspaces. Help care for the local woodlands and wildlife areas, plant trees and hedges, create wildflower meadows, clear invasive plant species, and much more! Conservation volunteering is a great opportunity to make a difference for nature and to combat climate change. TCV projects run daily from Tuesday â Saturday, approximately 10am â 2pm, with city centre pick-ups and drop-offs. Thereâs no minimum commitment â just join in when you can.
