At Holgate Close Spinney
This copse has very much been left in its natural state with very little habitat management work carried out. Public access has in the past been discouraged. Volunteers will focus on selectively cutting and clearing excess vegetation growth thereby opening up and improving access for all. There will be some selective thinning work and coppicing too. As our work progresses we will get a better understanding of the plant species and how this spinney can develop for both the community and the environment.
