This is a five week course which runs every Wednesday from 22nd April to 20th May 2026 from 10.00am to 4.00pm. Health and Wellbeing courses are designed to help you to improve or take care of your physical and/or mental health and wellbeing. This hands-on course is all about using creativity to boost wellbeing, tackle feelings of isolation, and support mental health. You'll learn practical woodwork skills that you can use in everyday life - no experience needed! Whether you're a complete beginner or just want to refresh your skills, you'll get to safely use common hand tools, measure wood accurately for simple projects, create basic joints and fixings. It's a relaxed and supportive environment where you can learn new skills, meet others, and enjoy the process of making a planter and a small bench with your hands. This course is FREE if you are in receipt of certain income related benefits; work full-time (37hrs a week) and earn below £25,750 or work part-time and earn below £13.85 per hour; It is £37.50 for those in receipt of state pension.
