Continuing this summer's Art in Nature project at Skelton Grange we are running our next in a series of art workshops open to all! The second workshop will be trying our hand at sunprinting using a mixture base with turmeric. We'll forage for plants then use them to block the sun on paper leaving prints of petal, leaf and stem outlines. These prints will be on display for our open day on the 5th September but feel free to collect your work home afterwards! This session runs from 10am - 1pm with the foraging starting at 10am. Feel free to bring a packed lunch if you wish for afterwards.

Every month we focus on a topic related to the menopause that we discuss and share experiences of. We do a nature-based activity using natural materials to improve wellbeing and relaxation. Activities have included willow weaving, ivy basket making, creating flower balms and sleep mists, using plants from the garden to do hapa zome, printing, and cooking on a fire. Described by some of attendees as their calm in the storm of both menopause and life!

The walks aim to be accessible for a range of abilities, with regular routes planned to include at least one wheelchair accessible option a month. The group includes plenty of time to appreciate and identify nature along the way. The routes are usually between 1 and 2 miles, with a cup of tea and a snack provided along the way.
