With Cumbernauld Wild Ways Well Open Group
At Muirfield Community Education Centre
The Wild Ways Well Open group is available for anyone who would like to spend some time amongst nature to help improve their mental wellbeing. We use the internationally recognised Five Ways Well framework and combine it with fun and informative sessions in the parks and nature reserves of Cumbernauld. On each session we will walk to a Scottish Wildlife Trust Nature Reserve and spend time exploring the woods. We’ll stop for a cup of tea made over a fire and have a chat about nature or what’s going on in our lives. And we’ll take on a nature based activity – learning about wildlife, doing some practical conservation work, making natural art, having ago at some photography, contributing to citizen science projects or trying out some forest skills. We’ll discover new things about nature and about ourselves, make new friends, and learn new skills. Along the way participants can also earn a John Muir Discover award. Sessions start at 12.30pm and run for around 3 hours
