With Hull Road Park Project
At Hull Road Park
Join us for this family friendly volunteering opportunity in Hull Road Park. On Wild Fridays we aim to improve the park for wildlife by creating new nature homes, planting wildflowers, eco crafting, conducting wildlife surveys and more! Most recently we have created an insect hotel, made bumble bee homes and sown wild meadow seed. This relaxed, informal session is great for those wanting to make a difference, meet new people and get outside. The group is diverse open to additional needs and dementia friendly. During our break volunteers can enjoy snacks and hot drinks provided free of charge from the Choose2cafe (if you have any dietary requirements please contact before attending). Do as little or as much as you like, and stay for as long as you wish! Please contact the office for more details. We look forward to meeting you.

With Ladywell Neighbourhood Network
At Ladywell Neighbourhood House
Our Livingston Wild Ways Well group meets every Friday afternoon for a gentle wellbeing walk around Ladywell and the surrounding areas. This is a gentle walk, not a hike! As we go we take notice of the nature around us, learn how to name the trees and plants and about the wildlife that shares the space with us. Afterwards we go to the Ladywell Neighbourhood House for a hot drink and a chat.

With Greenwich Peninsula Ecology Park Events
At Greenwich Peninsula Ecology Park
A guided walk celebrating migration, exchange and other listening in the city, in collaboration with InspiralLondon, taking a leisurely walk to visit green diverse ecological spaces â to share other fun and informative ways to see the city and its different inhabitants. This exploratory workshop investigates the relationship between urban soundscape, environment and the way that people share open space. The walk starts with a short introduction to the fascinating feats of bird migration â looking for the main visitors to the UK from Africa that use the wetlands, along the riverside, which might include Common Terns, Sand Martins, Swifts and Reed Warblers. Why do they travel so far, up the Thames Estuary and where do they actually come from? Much of this remains a mystery but in late Spring as the leaves unfurl and food sources become available, a variety of migrating birds come, feed and breed. With longer days and abundant fish and insect life, the birds take advantage of the welcome refuge at Greenwich Peninsula Ecology Park. For this event we continue to take a birdsâ eye perspective of travel, exchange and interaction⦠and trace a new history of migration and exchange. To book a place please use InspiralLondon's Evenbrite link or just email TCV at gpep@tcv.org.uk
